papa Jack's is a family owned and operated seafood restaurant in Conyers, GA. The owner, Dennis, apparently spent a lot of time fishing the Florida Gulf waters and is an expert at seafood selection. They have a chef who is inventive and constantly creating new and unusual seafood dishes (even if he does lean a little too southwestern for my tastes). All the seafood is better than the seafood chain variety. My favorite is the "Low Country Boil" which includes boiled cabbage, potatos, sausage, shrimp and crab legs. They trhoroughly season it with cajun spices so if you are like me and prefer the taste of the components more than the tatse of the seasoning then ask them to go light on the spice. They have a small selection of beer and wines. The "wine inspired" (bad selection of descriptors) margaritas and pina coladas are an acceptable substitute for mixed drinks. |
