The Museum of Broadcast Communications is the premiere broadcast museum in America and home to the only National Radio Hall of Fame.
The MBC opened to the public in 1987 in the South Loop neighborhood of Chicago. From 1992 until 2003, the MBC was located in the Chicago Cultural Center. The Museum is currently building its new 70,000 square-foot facility at State and Kinzie Streets.
Our mission is to collect, preserve, and present historic and contemporary radio and television content as well as educate, inform, and entertain through our archives, public programs, screenings, exhibits, publications and online access to our resources.
