Good book stores and resturants. Intersting shops and a diverse group of sub-culture kids. Lots of pink hair and face piercings, tatoos, big black boots, spikes and alternative folks. Also quite a selection of homeless people, some of which are mildy entertaining, playing music or spouting poetry, other are just annoying old drunks.
If you go I would recommend checking out Junkmas Daughter, and the great CD / Record store next door. Then grab a monster burger at the vortex and enjoy their awesoem selection of inported and unique beers. Then stroll down Euclid, check out the shops. Its a pretty fun afternoon. - If your over 30 and from the suburbs you probably want to leave before it gets dark.
